Pulse
The
Nanopulse is an all-silicon, positive displacement pump
that can be fabricated in a massively parallel manner. The pump
possesses a scalable architecture and can pump volumes from pL
to µL. The Nanopulse can stand alone, be submersed
into a well of a microtiter plate, can be used as an in-line pump
or can be fabricated in parallel on a wafer with parallel pumping
from one face of the chip to the other. This flexibility allows
the Nanopulse to be used for the widest variety of applications.
Since the pump can move fluid in the forward or backward directions,
most common experiments requiring aspirate and dispense protocols
can be performed with the Nanopulse. Nanopulse is
self priming and has zero dead volume. Applications may include
DNA synthesis, protein purification, spotting of microarrays,
combinatorial chemistry, plate replication, parallel inline capillary
