Privately held Parallel Synthesis Technologies, Inc. (PSTI) was founded in 2000 to provide access to the latest in silicon micromachining, materials science and array technology engineering to the biotechnology and chemical communities. The core competencies of PSTI are in the design, engineering and fabrication of advanced array technologies with particular emphasis on silicon micromachining and microfabrication. The technical team of PSTI has nearly 50 years of combined experience in materials science, design, process engineering and silicon micromachining. The products within PSTI's Silicon Microarray™ technology platform are described elsewhere on this website.

Management

Dr. Robert C. Haushalter - Founder and President of PSTI
Dr. Haushalter is one of the most diversified scientists involved in recent efforts to fabricate and use various Array Technologies. He has broad industrial and government experience from positions at Argonne National Laboratory, Exxon Corporate Research, NEC Research Institute, General Electric Corporate Research, Symyx Technologies, SRI International and Parallel Synthesis Technologies, Inc. Dr. Haushalter holds 18 issued and 10 pending/filed U.S. patents, and is the author of more than 200 scientific publications. He has developed many Array Technologies in such diverse areas as DNA Synthesis; Preparation of DNA Microarrays for hybridization experiments; High throughput Protein Crystallization Arrays; Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysts; Thermoelectric materials; Lighting, X-ray, PET and two-photon up/downconverting Phosphors; Fuel Cells; Zeolites; and Thermal Barrier Coatings. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at Princeton University.
